Miles Per Gallon equivalent (MPGe) is a US EPA-designed standard created to facilitate the comparison of petrol/diesel vehicles with familiar MPG ratings with non diesel/petrol vehicles. With it, a consumer can make a quick comparison between a petrol vehicle with 34MPG and an EV with 96MPGe.

Sustainable energy in its simplest form refers to energy derived from sources that do not damage the things we value as a society - our natural environment, human rights, dignity, security etc.

Synthetic fuels are synthetically produced petrol, diesel and kerosine produced from a combination of carbon captured from the atmosphere and hydrogen produced from renewable sources. Although their use in internal combustion engines still produce carbon emissions, the overall carbon impact is neutralised by the carbon captured in their manufacturing process.
